Responsibilities:
Conducts ongoing assessments to meet the needs of patients served.
Communicates between supervisors, direct care staff members, family members, guardians, and collateral individuals regarding an individual's progress.
Provides a monthly schedule to supervisors of appointments, home visits, and observations to monitor work advancement.
Coordinates home, work and/or community-based visits to meet the requirements of observations, chart reviews, staff interviews, and data analysis.
Ensures the Behavior Intervention plan is implemented effectively and properly.
Participates in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and other pertinent meetings as required.
Completes monthly and/or quarterly progress notes.
Organizes training to certify staff and other team members are competent in the implementation of the Behavior Intervention Plan and/or documentation sheets.
Provides follow-up interviews, home visits, and observations for continued support of an individual's needs.
Maintains strong clinical records to guarantee information is readily available to interested parties.
Acts as liaison with the public and mental health community to support development of ongoing goals.
Assists in creating procedures for training materials to improve programs for individuals served.
Complete continued education on behaviorally based interventions & techniques to stay competitive in the field.
Qualifications:
Must have experience with behavioral intervention and/or strong educational emphasis on learning and developmental psychology.
Two or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behaviorally challenged population.
Must have reliable transportation.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, move from seated to standing regularly.
State Specific Requirements:
Illinois: Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), or a minimum of a bachelor's degree with 1500 hours of supervised experience performed by a Licensed Psychologist or BCBA.
Indiana: A master's degree in a human related field (this includes but is not limited to BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor)
Kentucky: A master's degree in a human related field and 2 years of experience (this includes but is not limited to BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor)
Georgia: Master's degree in psychology, special education, counseling, social work, or related field OR BCBA, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist/Psychiatrist. All applicants MUST have at least 2 years of experience providing positive behavioral supports (writing BSP, functional assessment; plan development, training, and implementation) to people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Must have documented coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis reflected on resume or transcript.

Primary Duties of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) New Parent Support Program (NPSP) Home Visitor will be to: * Perform support services via home visits and classroom settings designed to provide psychological and educational support to parents of children ages zero to five to include education in: positive parenting skills, promoting healthy pregnancy, promoting positive parent-child attachment behaviors, recognizing newborn infant cues/behaviors, and promoting effective couple communication in order to promote healthy relationships and prevent family violence.
* Provide information and education on services and resources available. Refer parents to appropriate military and civilian agencies for assistance and support for: assessment of at-risk behaviors, enhancing the parents' role in parenting a newborn/child, role modeling and mentoring, and any medical concerns.
* Plan, develop, and implement programming designed to build and enhance strengths that individuals and families bring to the parenting role to enhance parent-child attachment.
* Develop and deliver parent education programs to foster skill development, aid in child abuse prevention, and promote good overall mental health.
* Conduct standardized screenings and assessments of families receiving services and collaborates with related agencies to offer appropriate and necessary services.
* Provide early intervention services to parents and families at-risk. Conduct ongoing risk assessment. Reports suspected abuse as required by policy and law. Collaborate with the family and appropriate agencies to develop methods to achieve prescribed goals and enhance successful parenting.
* Consult with local hospital professionals regarding aspects of abuse and identification of at-risk individuals and families.

* Market the NPSP through a variety of venues including but not limited to articles in the installation newspaper, orientation briefings, trainings, creating brochures to provide information on the NPSP, and participation in special events such as Child Abuse Prevention Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
* Provide World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assist customers and communicate positively in a friendly manner. Take action to solve problems quickly. Alert the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adhere to safety regulations and standards. Promptly report any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. * A Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or an equivalent degree approved by a state regulatory board, and shall have a current, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice social work or marriage and family therapy or Licensed Professional Counselor, independently OR a registered nurse, or of higher credentialing, with at least a bachelor's degree in nursing and shall have a current unrestricted license in one of the states or U.S. territories.
* Have at least 2 years of direct experience in the prevention, intervention, or treatment of child abuse or domestic abuse, provision of maternal or child health support services, or mental health.
* Knowledge of the military organizational mission, lifestyle, and situation that contributes to family stress, problems, and crisis situations.
* Familiarity with and skill to follow Department of Defense (DoD) Instructions, Secretary of the Navy Instructions, Marine Corps Orders, federal and state human services laws and procedures.
* Skill to develop and maintain contacts to establish effective relationships with military leaders, civilian employees and managers, and professional points of contact in the related field to exchange information, coordinate services, discuss program problems, develop solutions, and resolve client problems.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Supervise and support youth while awaiting placement; gather and inventory belongings, including medications and deliver during placement transitions; supervise youth during visitation with parents, siblings, family members, court hearings, therapy appointments, etc., in accordance with safety regulations protecting the youth, social services workers, and members of the public; document and provide feedback on the quality of the visitation.
• Write reports on client statuses, searches conducted on locating missing/absent parents/guardians for custody proceedings, and other case management related reports; prepare correspondences under the review of professional staff; maintain current electronic records of client visitation, client statuses, and other tracking and/or documentation as required in the centralized database; acts as an interpreter for non-English speaking clients when applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
OPTION I
Experience: Six months as a Community Services Assistant in any Riverside County department.
OPTION II
Experience: One year experience performing client directed services in either a social service, healthcare, mental health, or non-county (public or private) agency and/or organization.
OPTION III
Education: Completion of 15 semester or 24 quarter units from an accredited college or university preferably with course work in psychology, sociology, social welfare, social/human services, other behavioral sciences, or a related field to the assignment.

The District serves approximately 11,500 students in two TK-5 schools, four K-5 schools, one K-8 school (serves as a World Language Academy), two 6-8 middle schools, one 6-12 school (in the process of becoming a Middle Years Baccalaureate program), two 9-12 high schools (consisting of one comprehensive and one alternative program), a K-12 virtual learning academy and a community based adult transition program for students 18-22 years of age. The District also operates six full-day and two half-day Head Start preschools, and six half-day State preschools. Finally, one of the elementary schools serves as a Leader in Me school and one as an elementary Primary Years International Baccalaureate program. All schools are on a traditional calendar.
